⁣வைத்தியநாத சுவாமி (Vaidyanatha Swamy) என்பது சிவபெருமானைக் குறிக்கும் பெயராகும். நோய்களைத் தீர்க்கும் "மருத்துவர்" (வைத்தியர்) என்பதால் இவர் இப்பெயர் பெற்றார். தமிழ்நாட்டில் நாகப்பட்டினம் மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள வைத்தீஸ்வரன் கோவில் மிகவும் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற பாடல் பெற்ற ஸ்தலமாகும். [1, 2, 3, 4]

நம்பிக்கை: இங்குள்ள 'சித்தாமிர்த தீர்த்தத்தில்' நீராடினால் நாட்பட்ட நோய்கள் தீரும் என்பது பக்தர்களின் அசைக்க முடியாத நம்பிக்கை.
வழிபாடு: முருகப்பெருமான், ராமபிரான் மற்றும் அங்காரகன் (செவ்வாய்) ஆகியோர் வழிபட்ட தலமாக இது கருதப்படுகிறது. நவக்கிரக ஸ்தலங்களில் இது செவ்வாய்க்கான பரிகார ஸ்தலமாகவும் விளங்குகிறது. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
